Q. What is a Create & Take Art Center class/workshop like?
A. A fun, social, group setting, with an experienced instructor to guide you step by step in replicating the class featured art project. By the end of the class/workshop you will create a fabulous piece of artwork that you can be proud to display in your home/office.
Q. Do I need to sign up in advance?
A. Yes, you can register and sign up for classes on our website. If needed, you can give us a call at 775-338-7592 and we will be happy to take your payment over the phone or walk you through the registration process. You may show up at the event and sign up, however, we cannot guarantee that there will be an available seat.
Q. What is the cost?
A. Prices vary depending on what the art project is and how long the class will take. Pricing may range from $5 per person up to $99. Most classes include everything you need for supplies. Please read the class description to see what you may need to bring. We do ask that you bring paper towels and baby wipes for easier clean up. On a budget? Contact us about doing a fundraiser or party and we will be happy to find the right price that will work for your event.
Q. What is included in the price?
A. We provide the instructor, canvas, paint, brushes, easels, aprons for most of our classes/workshops. Set-up and break-down for your convenience. Check the description, it will tell you if your supplies are included in the price of the class.
Q. What do I wear?
A. We provide some aprons but painting can sometimes be messy (but ohhhh so much fun!) so dress accordingly.
Q. What time do I need to arrive for an event?
A. Please try to arrive 15 minutes early so that we can start on time. You may get the best seat in the house. Seating is first come first serve.
Q. Do you provide wine or alcohol?
A. No sorry, we are creating a fun, safe, family environment that caters to several classes for students under the age of 21. However you may BYOB and snacks for your small scheduled group event for people over the age of 21.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. 48 hour notice is required for cancellations.
Q. When does the new schedule come out?
A. We try to have the schedule posted by the 20th of the previous month. We are always updating our schedule with new classes and workshops; so please “like” us on Facebook and subscribe to our e-mail listing on our website so you can receive notification of the new events or coupons.
Q. How often will you repeat paintings? I missed one that I really wanted to paint.
A. Please let us know if there was an art project that you missed but really wanted to take. If a painting is very popular we will keep it in mind for new schedules. If you have 3 or more people you may request to schedule a group session and select the art project of your choice... just call us to schedule your group/event.
Q. The class I wanted to attend is full! Is there any way I can be added to a waiting list in case you have any cancellations?
A. Yes, you will be automatically added when scheduling through our website. If we have three or more on the list we will schedule that class again. We will still have a class even if only 1 person is signed up. In the event we have a cancellation due to weather we will give you a call.
Q. Why do I need to create an account on Schedulicity when booking a class?
A. Schedulicity is our new booking service. By creating an account you will be able to sign up for as many classes or events that you would like without having to put your information in each time. Yes, they are very safe, secure and are used by more than 50,000 different businesses.
Q. How many people do I need for a Private Event?
A. We require 3 person minimum for a private event and do require a 50% deposit to secure your date/time.
Q. How far will you travel for a Private Event?
A. Sorry, we do not currently travel for events. Please consider our convenient location for your event.
Q. Do you have any events for children?
A. Yes, we have regular classes as well as an art club for ALL AGES. We can also conduct birthday parties and special events for children. You provide the snacks, and beverages. PLEASE NOTE: We ask that cake be served at home or at another location, as it does not mix well with the art projects here, and is difficult to clean from our our floor.
Q. I am an artist, are you hiring?
A. We are growing and we are always interested in talented artists. Please send us an email via our "Contact" tab to let us know who you are and what you would like to teach. We are always looking for instructors to conduct art classes and special events.
